I think my Oracle is picking up the TNSNAMES.ORA file as the drop-down list for Database in populated in PL/SQL Developer. being able to connect with sqlplus is proof positive that you DO have an oracle client. It is showing not logged on. But I can connect to other databases though PL/SQL Developer.
