Pkgadd Error Checkinstall Script Did Not Complete Successfully Solaris 8
I know it's an error with pkgadd and patchadd. But on this one (the one that counts, obviously - the others were just pre-production tests) the installation crashes. When installing a patch, the Solaris 2.5+ patch installation procedure will execute the script "checkinstall" with uid nobody. Solution These errors occur when the pkgadd utility cannot access the checkinstall script due to insufficient permissions.
