Looks like the "Microsoft Secure Server Authority" certificate will be automatically downloaded and set as "login.live.com" in Pidgin - but the "Microsoft Internet Authority" certificate will not be set automatically. I can confirm this fix worked for Pidgin 2.7.5 on Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit. With each version of Pidgin, the SSL certificates are updated to match the certificates of compatible programs.
