account.. Like others, I just let Pidgin reconnect until it was happy. When prompted, select "Replace" to replace the existing file.That's it. This is the only way I was able to get it to work for the same error.
How can I force it to accept an invalid certificate? (According to this bug report it should be capable). Kaurin's solution is working by now.
