I had to download an old version of AIM (I used 5.9.3857) that still had the menu option to change the formatting of my screen name. for 1+3, enter 4.

Zoen: Pidgin isn't being picky about capitalization--AOL is (or they're being picky about something else). I use all lower case in AIM as well as in Pidin, and still get this error.

The time now is 06:12 AM. If it would not allow you to do so, kindly try to type the username in lowercase or in uppercase. Once I used that to change the capitalization of my screen name there to match what I was using, I stopped getting the error message.

However, nothing I do fixes it in the least.

I can reproduce the issue just by simply unchecking the AIM account to logoff, and then checking it again to logon. Have a look at the error message below.
