Just installed gallery2 from ports and got the same error. The following error appears: Fatal error: Call to undefined function session_start() in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/gallery2/install/index.php on line 73 (the line number might be different for 1.4.4-pl4, I can't recall) Searching the forums reveals U need no code, since no code is parsed after the error is thrown!!!!! When I change it to /usr/local/lib/php/20050922-debug/, which is where my .so files are located, the test site doesn't even pull up. I tried to run ./configure --help to see if I can do an enable-session, but I don't have ./configure installed. I checked phpinfo and session support was enabled.
