Ping Transmit Failed Error Code 1231 Windows Vista
nothing really happened.. computertechie, Jul 12, 2007 #6 crimsonnblue Joined: Jun 12, 2006 Messages: 14 Are there any addresses available from you DHCP scope??? February 19th, 2008 10:10pm If I add an IP address manually using "netsh interface ipv6 add address" on one of the physical computers it starts to work. For my client to correctly pick up these advertisements by the DHCPv6 server, I had to apply the following commands on my client: - netsh int ipv6 set int [index] routerdiscovery=enabled weblink
Best of luck. A few comments though: If you want to apply a more precise routing rule instead of a 64 CIDR block, you can use the CIDR calculation tool at http://www.dnscrawler.com/tools.php#calculators . Click Start, type ncpa.cpl in the Start Search box, and then click ncpa.cpl in the Programs list. I'm not sure if it is just my own router but I also find that I sometimes need to perform 'ipconfig /renew' in prompt window to discover the correct DNS. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-networking/ping-transmit-failed-error-code-1231-windows-vista/0b3216d3-481e-43ca-b222-e55faf56cac2

It occured to me, when i was trying to connect to an Unsecured WLAN. If I try to ping form a physical computer I get this error: "PING: transmit failed, error code 1231." What could be wrong? Due to this problem, physical computers are unable to connect to the internet. did you have a virus that you repaired?
I plugged my laptop into the same port and that was fine. A fast learner, self-motivated and ambitious individual with good communication and interpersonal skills and willing to take responsibilities.
